In addition to his literary accomplishments, (Tropic of Cancer, Black Spring, Quite Days in Clicht, etc.) he painted numerous watercolor paintings and wrote books on this field. It is estimated that Miller painted 2,000 watercolors during his life, and that 50 or more major collections of his paintings exist. He was also an amateur pianist.
